From the time I started wearing a bra, to the time I found myself in the lingerie business; nearly 25 years passed before I was "properly" fitted for a bra! I can not believe it! I must say I did my darndest to figure out my bra size on my own, by reading, trying on and using on-line calculators. I was measured once at Victoria's Secret, years ago, but they didn't have my size and suggested going up a band size and down in the cup size. I have to say, I was shocked when I was properly fitted in a bra size I never heard of before! A 30" Band! That is where my passion and drive for this business began. I want to help every woman find her true bra size and discover just what a difference a properly fitting bra can make. So with that said, there is definitely and art to fitting bras. It not only requires a tape measure, but an eye for the different shapes of women, and a knowledge of the different styles and manufacturers of bras.
So what should you expect when you come to Arcella's for a bra fitting? First of all, I will try to make you as comfortable as possible in the dressing room. I will start your assesment before you even remove your shirt. Once your shirt is removed, I will continue my assesment by measuring you for your band size. I will then take a measurement over the fullest part of your bust line to get a ballpark of your cup size. This is where the art comes in......while you wait in the comfort of the dressing room, I will bring you a bra to start the fitting process. I will keep returning with bras until we find the style and size that are perfect for you. That is it! If I don't have it, I will follow up when the perfect merchandise comes in.
I realize that this experience may seam a bit unnerving to some of you, but I promise I will do my best to make it a comfortable and enlightening experience. Soooo, if you straps are falling down or your girls are talking to your belly button, it is time for you to consider a bra fitting with yours truly. See you soon!

Valentine's Day - Love it or Hate it?
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and while many of you ladies may be starting to swell with anticipation, others simply hate the day. Maybe because your solo or maybe because it is too comercialized for your taste. But in any event, love is in the air and when in Rome....do as the Romans do.

A Funny Lingerie Story
A good friend and customer recently shared a lingerie mishap with me that I just couldn't resist passing along.
Marissa (name changed for privacy) had purchased a perfectly fitting, sexy little black chemise from our store and was excited to show it off for her hubby. She left the store with her lingerie purchase, went home showered with her new Zents soap and then moisturized her body in her new Zents shea butter lotion. Marissa slipped into her sexy little chemise and proceeded to get dressed for dinner date with her husband. She was feeling on top of the world. Marissa and her husband enjoyed their meal and returned home. Marissa teased her hubby with the straps of her little black number and tried to seduce him, but he was just too FULL from the wonderul food! Disappointed, they retired to bed and Marissa put away her little black chemise for another occassion.
A few months later, Marissa nad Hubby went on a vacation get away to Las Vegas. Marissa thought to herself, what a perfect place and opportunity to try out the sexy little black chemise! Marissa dressed herself again and they left for an afternoon and evening on the town. They walked and walked and walked. After a full evening of food and sites, they returned to the hotel room. Marissa was ready for action, but was feeling a little sweaty from all the walking around, so she thought she would take a quick shower first and then slip back into her lingerie. When she emerged from the shower ready for action, Hubby was rolling with laughter.........it seams Marissa's little black chemise had left black dye stains on her skin on all of the most curvaceous parts of her body.
So ladies, sometimes, the romantic evening doesn't always work out as you planned, but if you can laugh together they say that is the best medicine anyway.
Tip - Always,wash your lingerie before wearing. Consider the lotion you put on your body before your lingerie and also weather you will be active for a long period of time before you intend to reveal your sexy little outfit.
